Out of Site is a series of twelve unexpected encounters of performance in public spaces in Wicker Park and Bucktown throughout the summer to early fall months. Wicker Park/Bucktown Arts Committee, fund and curate a series of twelve performances in Wicker Park/Bucktown every Friday evening from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. from July 29 – October 14 in 2011 and from July 27 to October 12 in 2012.
Out of Site is the brainchild of Whitney Tassie (Director of Monique Meloche Gallery) and Carron Little. They were thinking about how amazing it would be if when people come home from work on a Friday night there would be an orchestra playing in the Polish Triangle or some strange spectacle like Martine Viale from Canada slowly assembling an installation and then becoming a sculptural element. The magic of coming across something unique is what makes Wicker Park/ Bucktown so special.
